my grandad passed his driving test on a horse and cart before his job as a rag and bone man.
They gave him a full license haha
but seriously, im not surprised people drive without insurance with prices like this.
seriously considering it tbh

Sounds like Slobobobs grandson, he was a rag and bone man.. 29 foot something Winnie...

Not long enough!
Remember that well @ShiftZZ

I'v met experienced fulltimers paying ÂŁ2500!
Problem is also as living in van, greater risk.
Spoke to underwrites as fulltiming i do less mileage as more likely to be static for longer but to no avail.

Looks a dead cert for a cavity search though it is said that some enjoy that experience.

On and off for many years.
Your dream has come to an end.
A non driver, itinerant musician. No one is going to insure you or sell you/lease a Motorhome.
A pipedream.

If you drive without insurance, I hope they throw the book at you.

We have tried to help with ideas of how the OP can make his dreams more realistic. It will need compromise on his part as well as a lot of work but if he wants to make his dream come true he has to put the effort in - as we all have done.

I think genuine seems in keeping with some one of that background , slight lack of a grip on reality :)

When my nephew wanted to insure a motorbike the cost was prohibitive.

He bought an old Honda 125cc, insured it TFT, and just left it in his garage for twelve months.

At renewal time the price had dropped enough for him to afford insurance on a decent bike.

Also a slight lack of remembrance of a time where dreams were dreampt even if not totally practical by some of the more mature!!!!
