Hi all any recommendations on tyre pressure monitoring systems is it worth the extra money for a tyre pal system or are the Cheep ones reliable I need a 6 tyre unit many thanks in advance

It's like the cheap Chinese sat navs, some love them, some chuck them in the bin after a week.
Whether they all receive the same product I don't know, it does seem pot luck 🤔

I've been using the cheapo Chinese items for a couple of years, they work OK.

However being an old fashioned Mechanic, I still like to check the pressures with an accurate gauge now and again.

I’ve used several Chinese units over the years all superb 👍 my problem is the little wank**s near me nick the senders from the wheels for their push bikes, making my system totally useless

Use TyrePal on our MH, but fitted a cheap Chinese version on Yvette's car.
The Chinese one worked okay, but did not switch on automatically when the vehicle moved as the TyrePal does, so you had to switch the Chinese unit on manually everytime you went to drive off and of course a lot of the time you would forget to.
After about 6 months one of the tyres needed topping up, but I found that all the Chinese sensors on the wheels had corroded thread and had welded themselves onto the tyre valve stems and I had to carefully cut them off with a Dremel and a metal cutting disc.

If you do buy and fit the Chinese TPM's then I would advise a dab of vaseline or copper-ease of your valve stem threads before fitting them.
It would probably not be a bad idea to do the same with the TyrePal sensors.

Bought a Tyre-Pal system about 8 months ago, really pleased with it.
There is a discount code on here somewhere.

Cheapo Chinese set have worked fine for us for nearly 3 years and one battery change for each sender.

We have cheap and TyrePal - well worth the money for TyrePal.
The cheap ones gave strange readings and were a real hassle to get off.

Tyre pal for me. Ran it on the caravan before we changed to a MH. You always know where you stand.👍

Have had tyrepal for some time until one of the senders failed, likely due to my exuberant pressure washing of the wheels. Turned out that with the camc discount it was not too frightening to go for a newer tyrepal system. The new display is much more readable and came next day with everything all set up.
When I tried a cheapie Chinese job it only went up to 30psi. OK on a car but not on the mh.
Tpm does give you peace of mind

I have tyre pal on the motorhome which is for 6 wheels (tag axle) which has been very good. The 2 I have for the cars which are the newer solar ones have both broke just after a year. I had to take them apart and disconnect the solar and replace the batteries to get them working again. Still wouldn't be without them but the car ones don't last as long as they should. The batteries can be found on ebay which is cheaper than a new unit. Both are back working again now but not sure for how long.

Had Tyrepal fitted for nearly two years. I did a battery change on all the sensors a few months back when one of them went flat.

I’ve done a number of manual pressure checks, during that time, and they remain more or less constant. Two or three psi difference between my manual checks and those on the solar panel.

Ensuring the sensor covers are properly fitted is important to stop water ingress. (y)

Tyrepal solar for 3-4 years no problems and works on tag axle, I think. It can take up to 8 sensors, just need to buy additional sensors.

Tyrepal solar for 5 years 1 sensor went to sleep after i had bought a single for spare wheel.
Generaly happy would have preferred if it had died before buying the spare then i would have bought 4 and got a free display. £99 for 4 or £30 for one.
