One shows unit off, one switched on and one with a warning signal?!
Are they supposed to be like this as Literally can’t see it being much use on the dash

No. Mine’s a lot brighter.
And I don’t remember there being a brightness adjustment.
Can add pics later 🤔

They alarm if there's anything worth checking. I agree that the display is cr@p though.

Thanks that would be great bought 3 years ago and not got round to fitting maybe too much time in the dark box!!

After a low speed blow out mine was showing that the tyre was still correctly inflated! :(

🤔 did you fully charge the unit after removing it from storage?

I’ve not been in a low battery situation myself with the tyrepal, but I have other devices with a similar display and they go dim when I need to charge or replace the batteries

Hi this is the display from mine, it went like that when I checked as l leave it in the glove box when not driving and battery had gone flat just put it on charge all fine again

Can't remember the settings for the alarm but mine are/were correct but the alarm is always going off after an hour or so on the road. Admittedly it has been in hot weather as we've not been out much in the cooler periods but to me the things are more bother than they're worth.

Thanks all didn’t charge it just left in full sun for a week thought that would be enough but will now charge and see what happens

I would try changing your batteries in the tyre sensors.

Most people find them very useful. Make sure the high pressure alarm is set about 20% above the correct pressure as it goes up a lot when you're moving and the tyres warm up. So for example set the high pressure alarm at 100psi if the pressure is 80psi and the temperature alarm is usually OK at 70c which is the default.

I set mine as instructions and have worked fine, not had a puncture so hope it warns as it should.

I've got an older set and have left the USB charger cable plugged in so that I don't have to worry about it going flat. There is an option to change the brightness of the display - it is supposed to adjust automatically for day/night but I find I have to have it on the brightest setting all the time.

The only "problems" have been when the batteries start to fail in the sensors and I get various spurious warnings. Changing them is easy enough but they're not the most common battery around and I usually order them on-line. Also my Winter tyres seem to increase pressure a bit more than normal and I've had to set the pressure alarm higher than recommended.

Note that the wheels have to rotate for a short period before the sensors "activate" the display head. That might be the OP's problem.

Mine are also much brighter but nothing shows until the sensors are activated which happens after driving for about a mile. I only ever used the USB charger when initially fitted, solar keeps them topped up ok

After 3 years discharged and in the dark the rechargeable battery in the display may have had it. The sensor batteries have nothing to do with the display brightness but are easily changed.

I place mine just inside the drivers window and the solar keeps it charged even in winter, I have never needed to plug it in.

Do you leave yours powered on & let the unit's standby mode deal with battery drain?
I've left it for several weeks like that but eventually I give in and turn it off properly.

Perhaps I’m wrong but I never switch it off, I guess the auto does that as the screen is blank but as soon as I move inside the motorhome it comes to life.
The solar must be doing its job.
