A lot of funsters have shown interest in tyrepal tyre pressure monitors. As a matter of interest I have been informed they are discounting them at the show by £20.

They discounted them a bit more around Christmas time - down to £99 for a set of four.

If Tyrepal have an online discount code from the show then please let us know - I've emailed them to ask for a deal/discount code for Motorhome Fun members but not had a reply yet. Quite a few Funsters (including us) would like to order at the right price :)

£275 for a tag...... too expensive for me.

Nothing should be too expensive when it comes to safety. What is £275 as a percentage of what you paid for your motorhome? I thought they were offering £35 off for a set with four sensors.

They are all sold out......

Jim, will you be getting any more in....????

In an ideal world I would agree, but everything has it's price/value, even safety. I have managed to stay mostly on the road for 40 years without one.

Got to move with the times and technology Encantador.

I was very interested in a set of Tyrepal for my van plus trailer. The £20 offer
to me isn't very generous so I have shopped around. A customer of mine invested in a Snooper
system last year so I went to see him to find out how they had performed.
He has a fleet of 40 17 ton box vans and several artics. After trying two sets on his 17 ton
vehicles he now has over 12 sets and is delighted. Two sets are used on the 14 wheelers and the others on
the 6 wheelers and his own vehicle. He is delighted and is slowly adding more to his fleet.
After contacting Snooper they are offering a six wheel system for £212 including carriage and the range
isn't restricted to 7.5 metres as Tyrepal state there's are.
Thought this may be of interest to possible buyers.

I have expressed my interest in these on another thread , I've just spoken to a friend who lost control of his work van on a motorway yesterday ,tyre suddenly deflated , would these have warned him ? . I think they are worth the £135 , but I would be happier with some discount !

The way things are going it will become the law that all new vehicles are fitted with a TPMS. I believe it applies to new cars already.

Looks like Snooper Tyrepilot systems are competitively priced for HGV but can't find any sellers with them any near the price of Tyrepal for cars& motorhomes :(

If you check out the Snooper website they are selling 6 wheel sets for £212.

Missed out on the Tyrepal for £99 for 4 wheel & needed for both car & motorhome - have emailed Tyrepal to see if they will do a promotional web code or deal offer for Motorhome Fun members but not had any reply yet.

Probably get shot down here but in 43 years Iv only had one high speed blow out, drove over some unseen debris on the motorway going to Knockhill with a 4 wheel trailer up behind, (front wheel threw up a piece of steel which sliced open the rear van tyre instant deflation) To say I had a lot on for a few seconds is an under statement. Any other punctures (slow) Iv had you could always sense there was something wrong & pull over & check. I can see a place for these for example on our trailer where your not driving by the seat of your pants. But as for instant deflation they would not of helped at all.

I contacted them on Monday and was offered the show discount of £20. Didn't think was a very good reduction considering the publicity and enthusiasm they have. Going to order direct from Snooper. The systems are probably made in the same foreign factory and re branded anyway.

I to have survived many years with tyres. One thing I can be sure of is quality is now only a word that many manufacturers use but don't impliment. Tyres these days are definitely not as they were. It is very sad we have to recharge our confidence with rubber by fitting these monitor's. They call it progress. Not in my world.

looking at Snooper site, and going on PSI rating needed, (max 80psi) it looks like kit STP116 is the one I want...........£166.99 inc p&p with 4 sensors..........

Can't see anything relating to vehicle weight etc......and this kit they rekon is good for smaller M/homes............so maybe's I'm going to need next set up for Hymer ?

I was looking at snooper v tyre pal and please correct me if I'm wrong but the snooper blurb States that it updates the pressure readings every five minutes and the tyre pal state it is constantly updating. If this is correct then I would prefer the tyre pal.

Tyrepal's TB99 goes up to 99 psi and will do 5 tyres so it can cover your spare as well. I believe the NEC show price is round about £100 for 4 sensors.

My tyrepal cycles the display every 10 seconds between the 4 on the road and the spare and I'm sure as you say it is constantly updating.

NTS are fitting proper in wheel sensors for £180 fitted. not wobbly bits of plastic on the end of the valve, but proper metal valves as should be fitted to heavier vehicles.

Just ordered a six set from Snooper. Have a customer who has some on his trucks and speaks very highly of them after a year. Good enough for me.

Who are NTS?
I like the idea of internal sensors but heard there have been problems with battery life - and its back to the garage if the batteries need changing

I got a set a few weeks ago, the price was a bit more,
