Parked up in an aire. Clearly marked bays for motorhomes only.
Signs read “ Sauf Camping-cars”
Three motorhomes already driven in and had to drive off again as they couldn’t park. Can’t even use the facilities as cars are parked in front of them. 🤔
On a lighter note, look at what the sun’s done to the ants here🤣

Is this typical Brits abroad, washing line tied to lampost. To be fair it is the old campsite at Moulins. Lots of changes going on here and the Flot Bleu on the outside of the aire is permanently blocked with cars.

When we lived in France we often found this happened.

On one occasion we parked on the Aire and returned later. It was Market Day and, although the spaces were clearly marked for motorhomes, cars had parked in them.

One had parked across the manhole, (people hole?), for the toilet disposal.

I wanted to tip the contents of our cassette across their bonnet but Mrs Maison wouldn’t let me. I wish I had had the courage to continue anyway.

Had some french donut park right next to the black/grey waste grid just outside of a site we stayed on in France !!
10 foot away was plenty of parking spaces, I pulled up stuck my black waste hose up against his wheel and opened the valve 100+litres of fresh black waste made a lovely pattern over his wheel and tyre😂😂

🤣. He probably would have scraped it into a pan and offered it to his family as a meal. 😂😂😂

I thought tossers in BMW’s were all replaced by Audi’s and now the Tesla. Certainly the way it is down here
Not replaced by, but added to, along with those black gun carriage Range Rover things.

I'd be parking behind them, block three easily, maybe four.

Of course, some would have you believe that everything Motorhome related in France is wonderful and nobody has any issues  .

The thing is, when you are in France the vast majority of people you encounter will be French so naturally if you come across antisocial behaviour it is most likely to be French people at fault. When you are in the UK chances are any miscreants you encounter are likely to be Brits. Every country has them.

Park across all three of them and charge them 4 bottles of wine(each) to let them out.

At no time did I suggest this was antisocial. It’s just the French way. 80% of the people who couldn’t get parked here, were French. The other 20% were Belgian or Dutch. At most aires and campsites we stop at, they don’t seem to bother with recycling. They never seem to pick up the poo after their dogs either. I’ve even seen it in front of signs saying “pick up your dog poo”! This also is the French way. Having lived for many years in a North Herts “new town” I fully understand what antisocial really means. I’m glad to say we moved away 7 years ago.
We come to France because we like France and most of the French people we’ve met. We even had a house here for 14 years. Being very British, I carry my recycling in the storage units in my motorhome until I find somewhere where it’s properly recycled.
It was just an observation and not meant to offend.

Fair enough, I wasn't offended, just got me thinking about why we observe particular behaviour on our travels. I know what you mean about the dog poo too but on the plus side at least they're not so prone to dangling the horrible bags from trees, railings etc.

Had the Range Rover, went back to a BMW 😂🤣😂

if BMW did motorhomes .....

It was noticeable when we were over in March the number of free aires that had permanent motorhomes sited. Not good when you are desperate for electric hookup and there are only 8 spaces for motorhomes and only 6 electric points. All of which taken up by locals.

Sorry (not really) don't blame only the French:

Try parking in the dedicated MH bays in Sainsburys Ashbourne.

ditto sadly many of the dedicated motorway services Bays.

But don't try parking in empty bus parking bays at Morrisons in the eye test area of Barnards Castle, contacted parking enforcement and local council, just need to pick up some stuff from the supermarket, NO, NO, your not a coach, 5 empty bays, NO, I'll pay, NO. You can park in multiple bays and buy tickets for them. Said I would but perchance it's market day. nowhere to park a handkerchief.

Sorry had a little rant and now calm.

Thank You

You are confused with range rovers I take it 😎😆🤷🏻‍♂️
No. Had three BMW money pits. Never had a RR but understand they likewise feel most at home in workshops. Perhaps if Volvo made Motorhomes! (y)
