I’m making my way along the coast to Santander to get the ferry on Wednesday and found this cracking stop,might stay for the 2 days and drive straight to the port from here.
And the weather has improved greatly.

The rain in Spain definitely does not fall mainly on the plain,it seems to fall on me.

There's another good one along the coast at Comillas right on the cliff also Cabo Mayor next to the lighthouse in Santander is great for a stopover or a few days.

yes dbk got it ,its rodiles . .all been poshed up in the last twenty years .
great surfing beach.
used to be all fields and only a little bit of parking by the trees and the surf club and toilets .now there is a cafe and toiletrs right in the middle of the parking not just by the way to the beach.
the first pic just shows the original parking .
carry on up the road and it was the local council depot. .
have a good one .
other end of the village is a campsite .

Here is a free aire in france 40km from annecy still a couple of days from santander though dog enjoys it sitting by water easy one to guess though
