Why when watching a film on my LG smart TV do I have to have the sound turned up to Max and have to turn it down when commercials come on...It doesn't happen with old films. BUSBY.

Sound is controlled by the program operators nothing can be done to control it.

Because the movies have tuned their sound to get maximum fidelity and so they can have the biggest impact when they get to a loud bit. And adverts just max everything out to get your attention in the 5 second window they've got available.

Samsung tv have a setting to level the sound out. Tried everything on my LG to no avail. My headphones on my Samsung allow me to adjust the sound to suit me (30)whilst leaving the sound ok for Mrs vipar (14) But when I plug the headphones in the LG it cuts the sound on the tv only I can hear it.
