Hi, Thanks for letting me join here, I am Kev from sunny Filey and I look forward to posting regularly on this site. I do have a problem with my tv, it is fine on mains but as soon as I switch to 12 volts there is no sound, can anyone suggest possible reasons, thanks Kev.;););)

Probably best to post these type pf enquiries in a different section such as "chat" as you will get quicker and more responses. @jumar has probably hit the nail on the head but there are likely to be at least 5 more different answers on a more active thread. Good luck

We had same problem and discovered it was low voltage in leisure batteries just needed to charge them a little and all was ok.

What type of TV switches between 12v & 240v?
Think it's when on hook up its charging batteries so always Google voltage on leisure batteries but as soon as you go wilding batteries not holding power or charger not working properly.

If it's an Avtex, we had the same, turned out to be the amplifier on the main board. Went back 3 times before it was fixed properly.
