Yes but if you have a British van you will have to mod the electrics as the habitation electrics will turn off when you start the engine. This only applies to British built vans they live in the past and wire them like caravans. Any other van will be fine.

I like how everything goes off when I start the engine. If it didn't I'd forget to switch things off.
Automatic - modern...
Manual - very 1970s

May well do that,I thought it would be easy to just run it from the Leisure Battery

Thanks

I put an extra cig socket in and wired it via fuse direct to the leisure battery. Very easy to do. (y)

Depending on where the kids sit and location of your leisure battery. Run a new lead from the leisure battery and install sockets at a nearby position. Remember to add a fuse in the line. All the bits are on ebay or from the various leisure companies.
Charging will be done by the alternator as you travel so no issues.. (y)

All the positive answers above will be working on the principle the tv is powered by an external 12v power supply adapter, not internal, so you can replace this with a feed from the battery, cig lighter socket, etc.(y)
