TV bracket question (1 Viewer)

Having just bought a motor home and trying to get ready for the opening up of the season, I'm thinking of adding a TV. The unit came with 2 brackets but what fitting do I need to attach to this? Surely a TV doesn't just slot into the bracket as shown?

Looks like the previous owner forgot to leave you the adaptor that fits beween the bracket and the TV.

I had the same issue, the bracket was probably left on the tv, you can buy just the bracket that screws into the tv and slots into the square opening you have there,,I’ve seen them recently on line ,I ll have a look and get back to you,

Notwithstanding the suggestion made by Wabs ....I would have thought you need a quick release plate (which includes the VESA mount) as shown here:

Think the OP really needs to know the manufacturer of the bracket to be sure which quick release system is compatible.

Everyone has their own choice, which they should,personally , I did LOADS of investigating this and decided on an Avtex Pro. Which suits my needs, but all depends on budget,, I would also take into consideration the viewing angle of where you will be sitting, as some TVs, have issues with that,,good luck and have fun,,,which it will be

We had a similar 2 arm TV bracket in our previous MH. We used to detach the TV from the bracket arm before travelling and store the TV face down in a cupboard. Otherwise, the TV would swing around on the bracket arm system.

If the OP can't find the manufacturers specific quick release mount, a diy job may be necessary. He could use a rectangular piece of plywood to slot into the recess at the end of the bracket arm (thickness of plywood to suit depth of recess). Add a packing piece slightly thicker than the thickness of plastic used in the recess (width to suit clear open width of recess). Then add a metal VESA mount screwed to the plywood.

I have fitted two of these brackets in our Sunlight. Originally, I bolted an extra arm out of the second kit to one already ready fitted, thus extending it a further 200mm sideways, whilst this did work and allowed watching the TV from either the bedroom or the lounge area SWMO, was worried about colliding with the arm on her nightly perambulations.
So I fitted the second bracket in the bedroom area, rearwards facing, this can now be used as the travel bracket for the TV. I made up a simple twist locking tool for the 13mm nylok nut used to lock the TV in position, and a small plastic wedge.
A second aerial point in the bedroom area was needed, but that was easily achieved following the run of the heater hoses.

Another vote for the Avtex pro.
Re the bracket/tv combo, something you might need to bear in mind (I just trusted a dealer who didn’t), make sure the bracket doesn’t cover the hdmi/ USB ports on the tv. One of my first jobs was to drill a hole through the bracket for the firestick
