I fitted a status .. the extending one.. i think its the 580... so most probably similar to what you have ..
And it came with a useful signal strength light on the amplifier ... the additional height has made the difference between nothing and a signal at times..

To be honest, they are all a waste of time. I bought an Avtex aerial which are supposed to be quite good and it was no better than a cheap eBay one.

We've just bought one of those (£35 from eBay) and it works really well. We managed to get 120 decent quality DTV channels and 40 radio channels on our first outing.

I have inserted a piece of flat coax cable in mine, so it can be put on the roof and the door can be opened & closed. As a result, when I'm away I leave it in situ

Bought one on recommendation from Motorhome Fun - used for the first time in three locations in Anglesey- unbelievable reception - loads of channels and fantastic picture!
Don’t even have to have it outside it’s sitting next to the bed!!
Cant believe how effective it is A458492F-AACC-4DA6-BDEF-AE315B9C2BA2.jpeg

I'm just in the process of hard wiring mine - it's a fab bit of kit and to think that the dealer wanted to charge me £300 to have one of those Omni aerials fitted and this cost £35.

What a result. (y)

Just moved on to a Britstop near Conwy - surrounded by hills tuned in and a full, house again!!!!
Had a roof mounted aerial,in our previous motorhome and spent a lot of the time twisting it around to get a signal Can’t believe how successful this is!

i have an Avtex STH-3000 aerial and always found setting it up a faff, and the sucker always came unstuck - so i plumped for the Necvox aerial as well and the test (at home) is very promising - it will be interesting to see how it performs in the wild....

FWIW, i shortened the coaxial cable that it came with ....
