Why would he ask if he didn't want one?
I have a 4G MIMO and consider it essential when in remote areas.
I meant a tv aerial...... ;)

As 5G is a bit thin on the ground it might pay to wait a bit to see what comes on the market. We use a HUAWEI mifi, have travelled all round UK France Spain and Portugal with a Vodafone sim only very rarely been unable to receive a good speed.

Personally I wouldn't have a TV nevermind an Ariel but my wife couldn't go without her EastEnders or coronation Street and when she is engrossed in that tripe it gives me the excuse to go fishing

Thanks for all your suggestions

So, rather than a hole in the roof.......why not get a ‘temporary’ aerial like the Avtex one (or similar......suggestions??) that you can put up as required, feeding the cable through a window or skylight......?

All the latest MIMO's do 5G so not costing anything.

The August TV aerials are good...they don't look like they will work but are ok.
They have a magnetic base so you can either sikaflex a metal base on your roof or stick the aerial down..
Poke the cable out of the skylight...£15 or there abouts and no holes drilled 👌🏽

Can't help with WiFi I'm afraid

A 5g signal has a range of roughly 300m, great if you're in town with transmitters everywhere, a bit pants in the sticks.
