Sorry can’t help you but out of curiosity is your van a swift bolero ? We had a swift bolero POH

I seem to remember this problem from about 10 years ago. I remember checking my aerial for leaks, can’t remember the make but it looked like the picture. . ? Status. Check the joint on the two disks and anywhere else with weather seal.

I would swap it for a status aerial, kill two birds.

just been looking on internet and mine looks like a maxview?

It's the same as my Maxview and there should be a long bolt through to a baseplate fitted to the roof which is bolted from inside underneath. With the Maxview amplifier it will pick up zillions of channels even in a cave.

The bolt that's missing is the one above the telescopic VHF aerial (didn't bother with that) below. There's also a little white plastic waterproof cap for it next to it.

Yes mines a maxview took the long bolt out but still can't see where the water gets in ,does the two halfs come apart so I can get rid of the water also when I put the bolt back in how does it tighten up as I don't want it coming off on the motorway ( when we can start moving again) .

There should be a captive nut under the part attached to the roof that the bolt fixes to. It may have worked loose and dropped down so may need a bit of fishing with a bolt and then some ingenuity to hold it in place whilst you reattach the flying saucer and drop the long bolt back through.
The water must be getting in through the plastic bolt cap and VHF aerial sockets so a good dollop of sealant once all back together may help.

Hi Dunnah01, had a look at it yesterday basically it's knackered the captive nut part has sheared and the plastic bit has broken off ,so looks alike anew one had a look on maxview site and the gazelle seems ok but will need to check with dealer when we can move about??
