or to be exact, a dometic 6501 that hasn't been run for 7 months.
the new van has a moody fridge. the feed pipe at the top gets really hot, but doesn't travel any further around the cooling fins.
i had an old caravan fridge that needed turning every year just to stir the sediment up and then it was fine, but it was considerably smaller.
old wives tale or sound physics?

I`m a newbie, now 1 year
After the trouble we had years ago with a fridge being temperamental, we found out it was better to keep the fridge on all the time, so now caravan is on EHU at home all the time it is there, and my MH is also , have to unplug when using as it is my everyday vehicle, haven`t had anymore trouble with the fridges since leaving them on all the time.:thumb:

been running it on gas this pm (had to nick a bottle from the patio heater) and lo and behold she's chilling nicely now:RollEyes:
will try again with 240v and if no joy, we'll have a yoga fridge.

since 2007, 25 years tuggin before that.
If it's working on gas then chances are the 240 element is duff or maybe you moved the van & it's more level now?
