Just trawling the German mags and found this idea. I don't know if you've seen this before, we think it looks neat. You'd need plenty of space to store it though. It all fits into a storage bag, but it's 14kg. If you've got access to Readly, it's in the latest 'Clever Campen' mag.

What a good idea, especially as our mutt fully occupies one of the lounge seats👍

I can't see it being that comfortable, then there is all the hassle when you move on each day.
But if you where only staying a night or 2 then you would.mt put it up....I think it's a great idea

We rarely say anywhere longer than one or two nights.
Also where would you store it, we have a huge garage but it's full to the brim.

Plus the €330 colour change option. I'll wait until one of the German mags test it out and see how the kit is constructed.

Still, it looks a lot comfier than standing on a blowup doormat on the water, with a fancy stick in my hand::bigsmile:

Not the best Trademark decision calling it "HappyLounge" though as there are loads of bars etc with similar names so trying to find any info about on the web, other than the company's info, isn't possible. I can't find a website or anything about the 'HappyLounge' anywhere so they've missed a great marketing opportunity.

Can anyone else find anything about it?

The idea is good but there would need to be a fair few variations due to the height of cab seats and other seating as they're not all the same - is it just a large fold out base with cushions on and 3 large back cushions?

Edit: Thanks Dave, just had a look at the 'prospectus' which I downloaded and noticed these images which makes it a bit clearer so it's 3 separate base sections and 3 back cushions.

I wonder how many people take a vacuum cleaner on holiday with them! Might need to make an adaptor so that a 12v or hand pump can do the 'sucking' instead.

I don't find the standard Burstner swivel chairs very comfortable personally. OK for driving but not for lounging in the evening. I'd be tempted to try something. Storage would be an issue though.

We have Aguti seats and they are the most comfortable seat in the house.

I already have two 'Captains' seats in my 1989 Westfalia California so I don't think I'll be paying just for an extra cushion.

My dog would love that!. She always lies between us on the sofa at home & is most peeved not to be able to do it in the van when she's relegated to the bench seat or the floor🐶

I just wish the motor home manufacturers would ensure the Captain's seats were designed to swivel a bit more to line up with the side bench seats, that would make a more comfortable sitting position, I don't think carrying more than we already do is a good idea !!

Question is how much do you love your dog and will you buy her that as a present!

Hubby says she’s already cost us a fortune:LOL:….he says we wouldn’t have had a utility extension with dog shower, extra freezer for dog food, changed car with more suitable dog space etc etc. She’s worth it:love:. However I wouldn’t give up the MH space or payload to store it so she’ll have to miss out this time:LOL:

The captain's seats in our Hymer have a bolt underneath that restricts the amount of swivel. It is easy to remove the bolt when on site for comfier feet up lounging then just pop it back in position when restoring the van to driving mode. We usually don't overtighten it so it can be done by hand. It may be worth you checking to see what is restricting your swivel as you might have a similar arrangement.

I glued a piece of a plastic window wedge across the slot so it doesn't lock when rotated.

I managed to find a video of how it's set up. Looks like a simple process involving velcro and three legs which support from underneath. Only downside for some, is the size of the packages to store. Wouldn't bother us as we'd just take out the drop down bed mattress and store them up there.

I'd be quite happy setting this up for one night. Others wouldn't, but they're not sharing the van with us, are they::bigsmile:
