Off to France in September can anyone recommend an overnight stopover as close as possible to the tunnel at Folkstone

Not as close as you might like, but we'll be stopping (as we have done for years now) at the Canterbury P & R, (junction of new Dover Rd and Old Dover Rd). It's about 30-35 minutes from the Tunnel.

We've not used anywhere closer.

There appears to be the Master Brewer Pub which takes MHs at CT19 5UD, or the Valiant Sailor Pub at CT18 7JJ

That's 3 x pubs, and a P & R to choose from so far.

I agree with Jock. Canterbury always for us. Will be there next Monday ready for Tuesday night tunnel.

sorry rosalan will be at the tunnel the night before long drive from Anglesey to Folkstone so need the stopover to recharge.

It's only another 20 minutes to the tunnel and you can sit on the train for 40 minutes, another 5 minutes and you in City Europe
