If you have done the custom firmware update you should see it by pressing MENU on your remote then choose Conditional Access then CA Settings then press 1407 on your remote and you should then see a menu with Key Edit and BBC BISS which then allows you to input the code in the BBC BISS section

Ah well I’m not sure now because with mine the custom firmware gave me the specific menu BBC BISS which when you go into it’s just one line and thats where you input the current code which you have got.

Where did you source your custom firmware from?

Appears to be a typo / error in your code above ??
Try **** 81 f9 4f *****
Your code, with my correction, works for me but I have a SAB box, but I cannot see the codes being different across the boxes

man with little knowledge but system working at the minute !! - famous last words !!

Yes poacher, the Biss code I have is f9. It was getting late when I sent that message.
Thanks for your message.

Dave thanks for your help. I have a 1600chd box. The screen menus look quite different to yours.

I seem to have all the channels they're scrambled though.
I wonder if I have to enable/disable some options in another menu.

Mine too is the 1600 chd and the look and feel is dependent on what custom firmware your using.

The only thing I can suggest is you update your firmware with the .abs file which @Ninjabob posted earlier. That way it should give you the same menus as me and thus give you the BBC BISS screen as this is what I think you need to de scramble the signal as it’s a BBC sat service

I never bothered loading the custom firmware and have had no problems getting the chanels.
To enter the biss code just go to settings and select conditional access then press 1407 on the remote and you will see BBC at the bottom of the list. You can enter the code from here. Try pasting the link below into your browser but as I said don't bother with the custom software.

As far as I’m aware the standard Icecrypt box DOES NOT allow for BBC BISS code input and even your link states to download and install the custom firmware.

I tried the 1407 method when I purchased my box in November and it did not work. Maybe it was just me.

Have you taken a back up of your firmware and tried to load the firmware from satpimps website?
Hi there dpsuk, I am watching this thread with interest as I have the same problem with my Icecrypt 1600CHDSE can you give me instructions as to how I go about "backing up" my "firmware", whatever that is, I assume it means software, bearing in mind I'm absolutely rubbish at all things computer, but willing to try, TIA.

Backing up the Original Factory-Installed Firmware:
Insert a clean USB stick into USB port A on the side of the receiver (USB port B is on the
rear), then on the remote, push the Menu button, and once the Menu is on the screen select:
System
Backup to USB
Select: uda (uda should be preselected)
Filename (just use the default filename they provide)
Press OK on the remote to begin the backup process, usually takes less than a minute.
Safely eject the USB stick by going to back to the main Menu, then select:
USB
Remove USB Device Safely
Store the backup file somewhere safe in case it is needed in the future.

Installing the Custom Firmware:
Insert the USB stick containing the custom firmware file into USB port A
On the remote press Menu, then select:
System
Upgrade by USB
Filepath: uda (should be preselected by default)
Upgrade File: (the filename on the USB stick should be shown automatically)
Upgrade Mode: All SW + Channel List
Press OK on the remote to begin the upgrade process, usually takes less than a minute.
The custom firmware should load in under 1 minute. The device will then reboot itself, and in
less than 1 minute the IceCrypt logo should then appear.

Loading the BISS code:
On the remote select Menu, then select:
Conditional Access
CA Settings (you should now see card info)
On the remote enter 1407
(you can see this being entered in the top-right corner of the menu screen)
This brings up a secret menu, select:
Key Edit
BBC BISS
Now enter the latest BISS code. To enter the letters from A to F use the keys as shown at the
bottom of the screen.

Finding Intelsat907 channels:
Connect the IceCrypt to an Antenna pointed at Intelsat 907 at 27.5 deg W, and ensure that the
Quality is at least 60% (a figure of over 75% is what you should be aiming for)
On the Menu go to Installation > Satellite Installation, press OK
Select the TP Index, then press the Yellow button (TP Edit), on the next screen press the
Green button (Add), and enter the following parameters:
Frequency: 11495
Symbol Rate: 44100
Polarity: Vertical
Now press the Menu button, and choose Yes when it asks if you want to save.
Ensure you have selected the newly entered 11495 V 44100 for the TP Index, then press the
Green Button for a TP Scan, and set the following parameters:
Scan Mode: All
Program Type: TV+Radio
Scan Type: Blind Scan
NIT Search: Off
PID Search: BBC
Then scroll down to select ‘OK to Search’ and press OK on the remote.
Once all the programs have been scanned and loaded, you can press Exit
You can scroll through the channels using the Blue Up/Down buttons, and you can flip
between TV channels and Radio channels by pressing the TV/Music button on the remote,
and to see the Channel List press the EPG button.

Dave.

Dave thanks for the post. I've followed it through, using the firmware I have installed.
I've set the TP edit, mine was horizontal. Everything else was correct.
I tried to set the dish to correct position, bugger. I'm parked under trees.
I'll have to wait a bit longer until we're in a better position. I'll let you know.

Many thanks for the time you've taken to write all that, your efforts are much appreciated, unfortunately, a lot of it is all gobbledygook to me, I am unfamiliar with a the majority of computer terminology,as well as being fairly clueless computer wise so I think I will have to wait until I meet up with some technological wizard who can sort it for me, I had the Icecrypt 1600CHD it was only 18 months old and I had very little use out of it and it has been sat in the van since last August without even being switched on, until then it was working perfect but as I've been in and out of hospital since last August I have not been able to use the van and it seems the box just gave up and just displays "No Signal" when I switched it on to check everything was working, I sent it back to Jacksons Satellites, who supplied it with the "software" installed, but he told me that the box is Knackered and only had 12 months warranty I was a bit disappointed to say the least having only had 4 months of actual use out of it so am reluctant to pay out another £135 for a new one already set up, as if I'm lucky enough to get down to Spain/Portugal next month but only for about 6weeks or so it hardly seems worth it as the same could happen again, typical of my sort of luck....ah well...will just have to miss the 6 nations if we go.

Okay we're in business.
Thanks to everyone for your help and special thanks to Dave dpsuk999.
I have been able to get a firmware update off a fellow camper. His update allowed me to access BBC biss codes.
Also I could of been trying to watch high number channels which are inaccessible hence the 'scrambled' message.
The set up procedure that Dave has given is great. It's a simple step by step guide.
Thanks again Dave.

Have managed everything in repect of the Icecrypt Box. The problem I am having is with tuning my Oyster Vision 2 to Intelstat 907. I know I have to go via the Hipastat Satellite. Can someone talk me through this part. I have tried with no luck. I am trying this in the Uk, perhaps the footprint does not cover UK? Would like everything working at home and be familiar with the workings of everything before going to Spain.

Hipastat is in the swap Satellite menu, but not one of the four favourites. If this makes sense.

Hi, if you contact oyster, they will talk you through the procedure to lock onto hispasat. It may be your system requires new settings. Mine did. Again oyster were brilliant.
I think their customer support is second to none.

The Hispasat at 30W frequencies have all changed recently because the originals were for Telefonica Movistar.
who have moved to Astra1 at 19.2E.

The new frequencies I use are:-

0=10770H 30000 5/6 IQ1
1=10890V 27500 3/4 IQ1
2=12207H 27500 3/4 IQ1
3=12092V 27500 3/4 IQ1
I followed to the letter instructions kindly provided for Astra2 by Mr Jackson.
Just select Hispasat instead of Astra2.
My Oyster Vision II now locks on OK. remember to Skew LNB to 25 past the hour.
I am in Algarve.

Am I right in thinking you have to set your Oyster to manual mode once it’s locked onto Hispasat at 30w and move it a few degrees to receive Intelsat 907
