ts file conversion (1 Viewer)

I have an HD video file downloaded in ts format. My dvd player will play almost any other format you throw it.....but not ts.

I have a couple of converters but what would be the best format to convert it to without losing too much of its original quality?

i have converted TS files to xvid hd and they seam very good
