New here and new to motorhomes. Decided we wanted one and thought it would be easy to find and decide, ha!

The layouts all seem to be different?!

Then found one we liked and the dealer said: "Can be handed over end of May, beginning of June" - Oops!

Budget is approx. 20k

8 or 9 weeks wait for a used van is ridiculous. But now you know a layout you like, search for another of that make and model elsewhere. Probably cheaper than a dealer if bought privately and warranties on used vans are a waste of paper

Hello and welcome and I'm going to give my usual advice to a newbie and that is try and hire a van with the layout you think you like before you spend 20 grand only to find out after a couple of days living in it that it isn't the layout for you

That sounds like a long wait is it an indication it needs work before being ready to sell (?damp).
If not and you really want it and it's in good condition you might struggle to find another one at the moment it sounds like its a sellers market.
When you get one hope you have some good times.

Good luck with your search, its easier once you have decided what layout you prefer, our first was a big bathroom that came with no storage, our second had a big garage plenty of storage and filled it with stuff we thought we needed, the last two have been panel van conversions and find them perfect for us. Bob.
