If your existing mattress is uncomfortable,seems like a good idea. I don’t know where to get one though. Are there any Standard i.e. not made to measure mattresses that fit?

yes I got one and it's ace..heavy but ace...I got it made to measure from Jonic in Morecombe.
expensive but worth it

You can still buy a foam mattress from eBay and it does not have to be memory foam, there are others such as reflex foam which is not as warm. We use a wool topper on top of the memory foam which is cooler.

We were in Sutton on Sea earlier in the year. There is a shop there dealing in, amongst other things, made to measure caravan and motorhome mattresses. They are called Squire Furnishings. 01507 441005. Have never dealt with them but @Jim lives just down the road, maybe he can comment. Hope you find what you are looking for. Mike

There's one or two companies on Amazon that will make a sprung mattress to your size. I was very pleased with mine, sorrry I cant remember the names but a Amazon search will easily find it.

We replaced one of our rear lounge side cushions with one from Sleepdetox - cost about £150 for reflex foam.

Got ours on ebay made to measure French bed memorex foam not sprung with zipped mattress cover ebay £199 delivered. Been using it for 3 years. Great mattress. You just got to look.
