We have the above heater which until recently worked on either gas or electric. Now on electric, while the fan does run, it produces no heat at all. Tried it on 500, 1000 and 2000 thermostat settings, and the green light on the thermostat is also no longer visible. Works OK on gas

There is a 10Amp trip in the main electric box, but it is in the ON position

Reading up on this it seems that the PCB is prone to failure and cost in the £75 - £100 region to buy, or I have found a firm that repairs them for £40

Am I missing any other obvious possible causes?
Has anyone replaced their own PCB?

TIA

This is a warm air heater. I cannot find the model number, on the top is says Ultraheat 230V and the manual is for models S3004/S3004P/S5004, but the controls on the top of the heater look slightly different
