The blown air heating on our truma c 603 (2004) has stopped working. The hot water works and can hear it ignite. When turned to heating I get no noises or fan. Any ideas where toy start looking for the issue.

If the hot water is working combustion fan and burner must be OK so could be the blow air fan is faulty or clogged up with dust.

Have you turned the thermostat up? Sorry to ask the obvious but I’ve forgotten to check where Ive set it at a few times.

How long has it been on? And what setting of heat have you got it on?

Sometimes takes a while for the fan to kick in. Also if it's on a low setting it might not work as it's not too cold today.

Sad to say parts are no longer available I’ve been told by multiple engineers. Our pcb was condemned. ☹️

Thermostat is turned up. I hear no clicking from the set point on the thermostat not sure if that is normal or not.

Think that’s normal,mine doesn’t click

Is there a battery required for the igniter. My 2003 combi needs one for the blown air heater but think the combi may be a different system to yours. Sorry if this is no help 🙄

Do you simply get no blown heating, or does the unit shut down ?

Just no brown air. Still heats the water fine and no error light on the thermostat.

Certainly sounds like the blown air fan has failed/seized. If you can get to the fan it would be worth giving a it a helping hand, in case it has just stuck, and this 'may' free it. If the fan is not getting the signal, then it could be the stat, the pcb, poor connection somewhere. The fan has to 'prove' an air flow before the burner will fire up for habitation heating.

I think it could be the room temperature sensor. A small black plastic fitting with two wires, somewhere high near the controls. To test that it’s that, remove unplug the two wires where they plug into the boiler. The boiler sensing the open circuit will come on and heat your van, it just won’t know when you’re warm!

The sensor is about £10 on eBay or from Truma and easy to fit yourself. Mine went while I was working in the woods in subzero temperatures. For a week I was able to switch it on and off at night to keep warm.

That‘s the part, when those wires are disconnected the heating comes on and when connected it goes off. If the sensor fails the heating stays off, until you disconnect it. See if that fixes your problem.
