Just had great weekend with one of our rally clubs, only spoiled by modern technology yet again. The Truma panel above door suddenly flagged up a 517 code on it. I just hit the button once and it disappeared. The heating was on gas as we were off grid and storm Arwen was kicking off outside (No one on rally owned up to inviting him). Anyway heating was ok and all seemed OK. Because we cannot sleep with heating on (Too warm) I had learned the trick of just leaving the water heater on as it is under wifes bed and kicks enough heat out to keep bedroom snug enough with being over powering. Come the hour and no water heater kicking in. Anyway got to 2am and it was snowing for the 2nd night running and so had to put heating back on but low (still really too warm) but was puzzled as to why the same unit was not working on water. Then had the thought someone on MHF would have had and solved the problem. Found said posts from mainly Plausism and sure enough mine was the dreaded 15 minute lockout on the full unit after an unsuccessful reboot, (Lockins are much more fun) Anyway did all that was suggested and sure enough all working again. That chuffed I had mastered some tech decided to treat the M/H to some heat tonite (on drive) and just to make sure! Oh and as I write this its just been on news some lucky so and so,s are locked in for the 3rd day at the highest pub at Tarn hill due to the snow!

We had the same problem with the Truma on a rental m/h we were trying before buyin our own recently. My fault for not switching the heating off before disconnecting the EHU apparently. Three attempts at the 15 minute wait failed. A quickly Google search revealed how to reset the Truma using a microswitch on the circuit board beneath a cover on the top. Sorted

The only bit of modern tech I trust really, is wifi wbesites like this with useful content in the main!
