I have a AT Chieftain, with a Truma gas heater. I have fitted a Truma chimney extender with a mushroom lid as we are going to the 'snow', the extender is in case we have excessive snow on the roof. As my dealer or nobody else seems to know, will it effect the flow of gasses coming out of the chimney and will I be able to use it safley on the go.

As it is a roof mounted flue it must be the S3000 range of heater you have and that is NOT certified for use while driving. The extender will only improve the flue gas flow, especially if the existing flue is close to the upstand at the edge of the roof.
