Good evening everyone, hopefully someone out there can help me, my Truma C6002 water heater will not work. I’ve checked all the usual things and even changed the gas solenoid. To save renewing the igniter which may not be necessary or the PCB does anyone know of anyone who can take a look at it and repair it, preferably here at home near Goole in Yorkshire.
Cheers. Pete

Yes I’ve seen it, I’ve renewed the control dial thinking it was that but it turns out it may not have been. There doesn’t appear to be a temperature sensor anywhere in our Motorhome. Was hoping someone might know of a mobile mechanic/fitter that could come and take a look and hopefully fix it.....

I would thought there would have to be one somewhere to switch it off and on. Or is it totally missing/disconnected and that's your problem

The water heater is switched on by the control dial just thru the door. It all worked perfectly up to early December when we were last in the Motorhome. We had family arriving last week and needed to use the Motorhome so went to put the heating on and nothing!!!! The water heater fan kicks in when I turn it on, then we get a red light on the control dial and everything stops. I thought it was the gas solenoid not opening to let the gas thru so replaced that along with the control dial but it still doesn’t work. I’ve changed fuses and checked they are fitted correctly but still nothing, the water heater will not turn on. I’m stuck now and need to get it working so we can go away so any help or if anyone can/wants to come over to Goole to help me sort it out it would be greatly appreciated.....

No it’s freezing here so it’s empty, but having just done a thorough search of the Motorhome I’ve found the temperature sensor, so I’m just checking it out now.

Some years back we had trouble with ours, it turned out to be a faulty 12v supply. If you check it makes sure it really is providing a proper supply i.e. don't just use a meter instead connect a car headlamp bulb. It took me ages to realise that the circuit was compromised as the meter misled me.

Have you checked the flash code on the pcb? it’s under the black cover on the boiler it’s a bit like morse code and will flash Long and short in different sequences.if you google Truma flash codes you will find a list of different codes and possible faults.
It sounds complicated but take your time and you will sus it out.??

How do I connect it to a 12v supply to make sure I connect it correctly??

Hi speve, I will check that out in the morning. Is it underneath the small top cover where the multi plug wires go in or is it under the main cover which covers the pcb??

How do I connect it to a 12v supply to make sure I connect it correctly??

You will find a wire (12v supply) leading from the moho to the boiler connecting at or near the fan. Just disconnect it and connect a bulb and earth the other side of the bulb. If the bulb lights you have a good circuit, if not find out why.

Afternoon, thank you all for all your help, I’ve been all morning trying all your suggestions. I couldn’t find any lights on the pcb, with the motor home plugged into an EHU there’s 14v to the PCB, I’ve ordered a new temperature sensor as I couldn’t get the one in the Motorhome to work. Double checked the new gas valve and it appears there’s no gas getting thru so I’ve given up!!!! I’ve booked it in with motor tech in Nottingham to get it sorted out. We’re taking it down in 16th March, hopefully they can fix it.....

Had a very similar problem with mine a while ago. Turned out that it was simply the little glass fuse on the PCB was loose in it's metal clips. Squeezed the metal clips together a bit to make a tighter fit and then all was well. My PCB was quite easy to get to being behind a panel under the sink. Worth having a look if you can get to yours.
