A few minutes after ourTruma 6002 starts to actually output heat a rough intermittent roaring sound starts, only stopped by turning down temp. The heater is in a side locker, while it is making the sound the convoluted black plastic outer ducts visibly vibrates, holding the duct quietens it a little but not completely. The heater has worked well for the last couple of years with no problems, nothing has been changed in that time. The exhaust/intake is through the roof, the outlet does not seem damaged or blocked.

Worth a look. I think I may need to remove the whole heater assembly, just not sure if I can access the back. Hope it will not mean a major strip down of the kitchen area.

My last one was accessible from an outside hatch, present one from a little door in the garage if you're a contortionist.

Contamination on the fan blade can throw it out of balance, or the exhaust duct if loose can make a racket

Well I removed the heater, not as hard as I anticipated. I have noticed the short stub that fits into the heater exhaust outlet is loose and rattles around. It is secured by two pins pressed into the alloy inlet/outlet duct and fitting into transverse slots in the stub, There is a thin pink O'ring fitted behind the stub but cannot see how it can seal with things being so loose. Any ideas, is this normal? Sorry about the mangled finger, I made a gun secretly in metalwork at school did not work out too well!

While the heater is out I have removed the outer cover to look at the electric water heating blanket which does not work, it is labled TRUMA 230V 450W, it also carries HORN Typ 104-115-0652.
After a long web search could not find this number anywhere. Does anyone know the Truma part numbrr please.
