We are having trouble with out Truma boiler. On Gas. It is working on electric.

We have a Hymer 2004 B614. The problem started when the boiler would not click on to work to heat the water. This trouble had happened before but righted itself.

My Husband tried the heating to see if it was affected. He got the heating to work but then there was a burning smell and the lights on the boiler stopped working.

I have contacted an Enginner who has failed to reply.

We are in Dartford. Does anyone have any recommendations where we can take our van to get it sorted.

Locate your nearest Truma Service Centre, and I don’t mean a dealer who sent someone on a one day course but a Truma one, there is one near Derby but I don’t know where the others are. You get booked in and they charge an hourly rate but they are the experts.

Have tried YouTube or Google for your Truma model number to see if there is anything there that might help. The model number might be useful on here also.

Since 1964 Gosh that makes me feel old.
I'd check that there is water in the boiler, the burning smell might well just be dust burning off as we've had a good summer & it's likely to have been dormant since the spring?
The power to the boiler may have tripped out due to low water level.

Another thing to think about is, have you changed the gas cylinder recently?
Sometimes the gas doesn't get through cleanly & you end up with an airlock.

Plenty of help on You tube as @Abacist has said.

Could be a restriction in the vent/flue would still work on electric but not gas. Worth a little look.
