I really fancy doing this - Trek of the Americas in 2019 - 120 days touring South America
Only problem is the better (and more sensible half) doesn't fancy it. Last year we shipped our vehicle to the US and spent 6 months there but this is not a trip I would like to take my own vehicle on, so, here's the plan...
Tour starts in Texas - fly there, buy a sub 30 foot B or C class vehicle second hand (nice one for less than US$60,000), couple of weeks to kit it out and ,make ready and sure everything works and then off we go.
I could do this on my own but is there any other bloke on here mad enough to consider doing this and splitting the cost? At the end we sell the vehicle back (or you could ship it home I guess). Strictly separate sleeping arrangements!!!
