Pitch 25 at Henley CMC wasn’t so lucky today. The car took the brunt.

We visited a club site located in Yorkshire a few months back and just about every pitch was positioned under 60-80ft tall trees.

The winds got up that night (and I don't mean from the Heinz baked beans either) and I didn't sleep one bit.

Wind affects us in different ways. My wife and I were in a tornado years ago which caused us some damage, ever since then any hint of a wind keeps her awake at night even with the awning down. Me, the sound of wind lulls me to sleep but I will think about where to park and under what, in the future.

Sad for the caravanners but phew - Adam's a fulltimer and could have lost his home.

Yes its the Henley caravan club site! I had a bit of a sleepless night worrying about trees falling on me, so I’ve moved to a site with less of them
