I went on Friday. Well attended event. The one van that really caught my eye was the Duomobile B634SL:cool:. What a great design. In the words of the great @hilldweller, I found 128,000 reasons not to buy it:eek:.

My other observation was that in the fight to reduce weight, Hymer's A class offerings appear to have lost their quality where interior fitments are concerned:(. Just my opinion.

I remember entering that showroom for the first time we were looking to buy an American RV. It was awesome, lines of stunning new RV's, it was all they sold. Palatial Monoco's glimmering under the halogen spotlights. Me and my son were like kids in a sweet shop and spent hours climbing all over them. Back in those days they'd have hidden any Hymers they had taken in part exchange out the back for fear of embarrassment. How times change, I'm sure they hide the RV's out back now. :D

Hi Sue,they have quite a large workshop that you can easily get 8-10 motorhomes in.The new premises is going to have a much larger workshop and a slightly smaller showrome with a lot of outside display space.

There were a lot more than 6 RV S Imported , at least through Southampton, not withstanding the 5th Wheelers.
I wonder what tasty extras Travel World will through in on their deals. extras that should of course be standard on Vehicles of that Price !!

They have some nice vans and pleasant sales staff but I wouldnt/couldn’t buy from them as they refuse to swop over kit like satellite dishes. Their competitors will. When I spoke to them it apparently had something to do with someone once having sued them when a dish stopped working. Maybe it hasn’t cost them many deals - I guess most buyers are either first time or let their vans go with all fittings? So it may be a worthwhile business decision for them. Just wouldn’t work for me given my list of requirements...

I wonder if that @PaulW2 is a new thing for Travelworld.

We got our current MH from them in June this year and they happily swapped the Gaslow from our old van into the new, along with the TV.

So perhaps it depends on excactly what it is you want swapped, some things probably being more susceptible to not working after swapping than others?

Also possibly they would be thinking about the van they’ve taken in PX and what work would be needed to make that van look as if it’d never had such fitments?

They did say they would move a gaslow across. That is however par for the course - some movement of gas bottles is normal with the purchase of a motorhome. They would however not move everything across, and specifically wouldn't do a satellite dish for the reason I mentioned. I then phoned some of their competitors and established that they would move the dish across if I bought a van like the one I was looking at. So that took Travelworld off my list of companies I could get a new van from. In the event I didn't change the van, but I obviously have made the mental note for future reference. Not a criticism as such - they're obviously entitled to do business on their own terms and it must be galling to be sued for something that went wrong on an old piece of kit that you moved for a customer.
