Travelling with passenger seat facing backwards. (1 Viewer)

Will there be a table facing him and how secure is that, couldn't see our table staying put in the event of a collision.

Imo he will be wearing a seatbelt so cannot be charged with not doing ( as over 14yrs of age he will not be your responsibility to wear it) . As long as you have proper vision through the windows and can see the mirrors while driving, you are not breaking the law either.
As for the seat, as long as the manufacturer has not stated the travel position, also nothing amiss.
Assuming you were stopped and accused of breaking the law, it is not really likely to be in the public interest to pursue a case unless you admit any wrongdoing.

See post #12. On ours it does lock in position in exactly the same way as it locks in the forward facing position.
Missed that, a bit unusual unless it has been done for very reason you need it for.
A few years ago I had a people carrier where the centre row of seats swiveled although the belts were fixed to the pillars, the seat had an additional lap belt for when the seats were reversed, must be legal then.
