Hi,
Some help required please. I am trying to establish what border formalities are required for crossing from France to Spain if you have transited France from the UK. I have contacted the FCDO who have suggested an online enquiry, but suggested it could take a while to get a response. The Spanish embassy and tourist board have declined any advise as we are not travelling from the UK to Spain. The French have suggested that we are UK Citizens so the advice needs to come from FCDO and around we go.
I know we need a Spanish health declaration to enter via an airport, and the online forms require a flight number to get the QR code necessary for entry via the Health Check at flight arrivals... However, there is no mention of how you get this QR code if you do not fly in to the country. We also know there is a form available from the ferry companies if you go straight to Spain from the UK by sea. We are going via Euro
Tunnel. We have the health declaration for France which is much easier to manage.
At the moment, the plan is to drive to the border and see what happens, unless any one can help.
This maybe easier than everyone we talk to is suggesting it is and we may just need to follow French/ Spanish regulations as they would apply to a French citizen.
Has anyone driven to Spain in these strange times or does anyone know someone who has done this?
Any thoughts or advice gratefully received....

We used the tunnel two weeks ago, then spent a week travelling through France and on onto Spain where we are now.
We were asked for passports and no other documents at Folkestone .........and thatā€™s it.

We filled the forms out in July on our rounder about trip back to the UK via France Germany then to P&O Calais ( we live in Spain) no one was interested, we came home 30th August no forms, we left again 14th September travelling from Spain to Portugal and then back home to Spain today, no forms needed no borders closed or checks so just enjoy your journey and not worry. šŸ˜ Bob

We traveled through Andorra to Spain from France, entirely uninterested in where we had been. Now parked up in Calpe until our ferry home next month from Bilbao.

Good luck as the restrictions & rules change from day to day.

For example a popular stopover for many is Burgos ...

Authorities in the northern region of Castile and Leon announced they would seal off the city of Burgos and nearby Aranda de Duero to all but essential travel from Tuesday night after infection rates in the area surpassed 500 cases per 100,000 people.

According to the FT late yesterday EU Commission has said we'll not be allowed to visit during Covid restrictions after the end of transition, unless working, etc. FT also says that the UK mission to the EU did not immediately comment.
