Hi all, Ive joined on here, we have had a caravan for 20 plus years but finally took the plunge and bought a MH two years ago.
Last year we travelled to Sweden via Germany, Odense and Denmark.
This year we are venturing to Poland. Has anyone any experience of Polish Campsites please and are there any you would recommend in the Northern Area
Thanks

Some Polish sites are very big but there were a few small sites dotted around the edge of towns - one or two with direct access to beaches & the Baltic - the one that we stayed on when we first arrived was on a disused / dismantled / demolished ?holiday camp? with lots of concrete bases to park on. The shower facilities were shared with day-trippers to the beach. Other sites are more formal and equipped. We were advised to park away from people if we wanted a quieter time on the weekends as Friday & Sat nights tend to get very loud.

Where are you travelling to?

We are travelling from Harwich via Hook of Holland, through Germany and contemplating going into the North of Poland before we head over to Sweden to see family. The decision at the moment is should we venture into Poland and take the ferry from gdynia to karlskroner or take the route we know from Putgarden to stay in Copenhagen and then on to Sweden

We enjoyed Poland for the 10 days that we were there, 2 days in the north, 2 in the middle and 6 in the south. I would go back; more fun than Denmark (from what we saw) and cheaper too :)

Welcome! If you don't have it the CamperContact app lists quite a lot of campsites in Poland. Search for All Motorhome Parkings in the Apple or Google app stores. :)

We've just been to Poland but around Krakow. There are less places on Camper Contact in the north, unfortunately. We stayed one night near a church after asking the local police if it was OK. If you can do this you'll probably be OK to stay. Even though wild camping is supposed to be illegal (as in many countries) if you ask you normally get the go ahead. Enjoy. We'll definitely be going back.

Just left The Marina at Szczecin. Fun watching all the comings and goings, but it's wet, very wet this year with quite a few boggy areas, so test the ground! Poland is wet this year! Peenemunde is very interesting.

Thank you for that Cat53 this is one on the sites we have looked at

It's the second time we've used it. The restaurant and bar is lovely. Food freshly cooked and delicious. Staff friendly. Bins emptied regularly. Toilets nice and clean. And a stroll round The Marina is lovely. Try to get there before 3 pm for a choice of pitch. But it's all very amenable.
