I have made a removable travelling seat for our dog Roxy, I've fitted a separate seat belt buckle at the side of the passenger buckle, measured the gap between the seats and had a piece of 4" foam cut to size.
Pat covered this with leatherette , when this is put on the floor I use an old leatherette poufe on top and the off cuts I made a back rest which velcroes in.
The dogs harness just plugs in the buckle and Roxy sleeps in comfort for most of the journey, when on our pitch I just remove it all into the storage in the rear of our Globecar and just swivel the front seat around as normal
