Hi all cane across to Spain via boat to santander and the only checks we had was to stamp passports.
No covid checks, no food checks nothing and through customs in pre brevity time.
Don't know what it will be like on way back

It’ll be slower on return as UK immigration insist on stopping and looking in every MH, caravan, and van in their bid to tick the box of being tough on illegal immigrants. Never seen one found EVER. Meanwhile they are arriving by the boatload in Kent and they don’t give a toss!!

We went in our car at Easter.

We were questioned at passport control.

Then stopped for pets, didn’t have any.

Then stopped and a quick look over the car.

Then stopped on exit and the whole car was scanned.

Never once did they ask for the authority letter from our grandchildren a parents. Giving them permission to take them away.

entering the Uk in June it was the French who looked in the vehicle. No one else was interested . Exiting last week , nothing whatsoever. Not even passports opened.

A few years ago we were waiting in the port to get onto the ferry at Dunkirk. We were in with the trucks and the Duanes were coming round checking the lorry trailer with dogs and CO2 probes poked under side sheets of the Taughtliners. At one truck things got a bit excited and they opened the back door with the driver. They looked in the back on top of the load then went to the side and opened the sheets. There was 2 of them in there. They had cut a hole in the fibreglass roof of the trailer.

It kept us entertained for a while.
