Strange isn't it the one thing I didn't think I would see on Ayre was p1ykes.

It appears they have the same cleanliness here as they do else where they stop.

Just an observation mind.

Coming from the mainland , crossing the bridge then turning right at the roundabout ,would they happen to be on a layby a mile or two along the road on the left ? Have seen a caravan encampment there on our last couple of visits to Skye.

Coming from the mainland , crossing the bridge then turning right at the roundabout ,would they happen to be on a layby a mile or two along the road on the left ? Have seen a caravan encampment there on our last couple of visits to Skye.

That sounds about right.

We made our way a bit further up and there was a Transit pick up parked in a lay-by in the middle of no where. No sign of anyone makes you wonder what they might have been up to.

Didn't think there was that much call for drives to be tarmac :whistle:

Am wondering if they are part of a particular itinerant group who are "tolerated " due to actually doing paid work within local communities . That said , they arent very itinerant as we seen them on that layby about 18 months ago. And 2 or 3 occasions since , last time about 6 or 7 weeks ago.
