Hi,
Going to Annecy in June, any route advice , aires, campsites etc on the way down? Then heading west on route back home.

Me too but next week :-) any stops and site recommendations very welcome . Looking at Belvedere site at Annecy ??

On the way down try a stop at Tornus on the river, small but pleasant site easy walk to town. close to main routes.

or even the center of Langres a CL type site first come first served right in side the walls of the town, get there before 3pm and park in a spot, pay when owner arrives.

How far west are you traveling after leaving Annecy? If you plan to reach the coast then you are almost spot on in line with us at Parc Verger. Then it could be on to Cognac, Ile de Re and points north. If you are not going that far this time, never mind, come and see us next time!!!

Calais, Lille, Luxembourg, Nancy, Epinal, Bessancon, Gex, Annecy!

Loadsa free aires on the way, no tolls, nice views past Bessacon.

If you are using the autoroute, use the Aire at Beaune, easy to find and a short walk into town, a 'foodie heaven', the Aire has a large supermarket with Fuel only 100 m away. You could then get to annecy for just after Lunch

We are going for the first 2 weeks of July, I've booked 7 nights at solitaire du lac campsite. Leaving a few days either side to travel down and back.

We are hoping to go to Chamonix to view the glacier as we will have our sons with us, George is studying GeoPhysics.

I'd recommend Langres. We stayed there last year and it was great. A short walk into town for bars and cafes. aldi and lidl nearby

Go through the Alsace region on the way. Plenty of aires, no need to book, good one at Kaysersburg, get there early and spend the evening there.
