We have a credit card which can be used with no fees for purchases abroad but always a dilemma if we needed cash without fees as no way before without having a preloaded card (so money sitting there doing nothing if not needed) but now a possible solution from Travelex see Martin Lewis review http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/ne...ding-abroad-the-free-supercard-launches-today .
Only just launched so we will wait a while until they sort out their teething problems with this but looks handy for future travels :)

Looks like it's in trouble through oversubscription ?
Anyway, I still prefer Caxton as you can buy the euro's when you judge the rate to be good. Not long ago I bought a load at 1.39 to the £ and now sitting on my card ready for use.
No fees for withdrawing cash of making purchases abroad. If I have understood the above card correctly, the rate it pays is dependant on that Days exchange rate.
    Seems very popular though !

As far as I can see it doesn't cost anything till you use it , so it's got to be handy to just have with you, if the rate is better than what you loaded your other one at use it if it's worse use your other, no brainer as I can see, haven't got one but same as you all looking into it

Just registered, IMO much better than cards like Caxton, don't like giving companies my hard earned cash up front & never been very impressed with their exchange rates.

Download App, went through registration, had few arrow messages so just repeat till got the next, at the last stage couldn't go pass arrow message, called them and been told all crashed and to leave it for two hours, they hope to sort the problem.
Didn't try again but sudenly, an hour ago got a mail, subject: You've successfully registered - your Supercard is on its way.
Hopefully will start saving money on our coming two weeks in France.

Part of the application was filling in an email address it won't let you complete the form without it.

I received my email 1 - 2 hours after acceptance.
