Week today off to Spain via France using tunnel anyone just done it, if so what paperwork do we need for tunnel and France ( have booking and dog certificate) what else do we need.

Out of interest, what dog certificate do you have - is it the AHC? I'm guessing you are aware that the AHC only gives you 10 days after issue to travel? Only mention it because you say you already have it but are not travelling for another week.

Just got back and apart from proof of vaccination not a thing was checked, the campsites and cafes do want to see this . I think our paper copies confused them a bit but never got turned away . Of course this could all change on a daily basis ,it’s coming home which is more complicated

We came across to Europe on Eurotunnel on Thursday. Our dog has a French pet passport so no worries but the person in front had problems with their AHC. Make sure you check the AHC thoroughly while still at your vet.

We had already uploaded our ‘proof of vaccinations’ and ‘declarations of honour’ on the Eurotunnel website. French passport control asked to see the ‘proof of vaccination’ but not the health declaration.

After passing UK passport control we were in two lanes of vehicles. The first five cars in the other lane were directed to the Security Inspection area but we were waved straight through. No-one wanted to look in our fridge or lockers. Eurotunnel seemed to have very few passengers and we were put on an earlier train.

Hope you have a trouble-free crossing.

Enjoy your trip.....you won't find much fuss here in Eurozone, we have just had just over three and a half trouble free months touring....off again on Thursday, if you have time and a motorhome why not..
