Thought this might be of interest for people who have to travel.
We are travelling back to U.K. in a couple of weeks. I emailed Mme Ancelot the owner of the Aire in Neufchâtel en Bray. She replied that the Aire will be open through the lockdown.
I stayed on 3 different Aires travelling up through France last weekend. All very quiet but operating as normal.BUSBY.

We were travelling back from Spain earlier this year during lockdown and arrived at the Aire in Neufchâtel en Bray only to find that the barrier had broken down and we couldn't get in and the campsite next door (owned by the same people) was obviously closed. We were too tired to carry on so we stayed the night on the road outside the aire. The following morning the owner arrived to say it would be quite a while before the barrier for the aire would be fixed so he opened the campsite gates and allowed us and 2 other vans to stay there overnight for which we were very grateful. Excellent aire, superb campsite and lovely people. (y)

It seems that was a private Aire then. The public ones seem not to be barriered so how are they 'closed' - or are they?

Neufchâtel-en-Bray Aire still has a barrier and costs €12, looks tidy like a wee campsite. It was ‘complet’ today so we went four miles down the road to Saint Saire. Good move. There’s a lovely free aire with secluded pitches right next to a good restaurant. It’s in Camper contact.

100 yds further up the road into the village turn right and right again to find a France Passion place. Free to all comers including free EHU. However we did spend €45 in their shop on Calvados and other goodies.
