We use the N & P debit card for cash withdrawals at ATMs worldwide with no transaction charges.
The credit card we use for supermarkets , petrol, and general shopping is the Nationwide Flex which also has no transaction charges.
Both the cards seem to get a good exchange rate which varies day by day.
Be careful when using a card in some of the French supermarkets as they will offer you to pay in pounds or euros at the electronic card reader, the question on the reader is " would you like to pay in Pounds , always select 'No' or you will be paying in pounds at an inferior exchange rate provided by the supermarket. :thumb:
Also we have found that most of the 24hr petrol pumps will not accept our cards on a Sunday
so we make sure we are full before travelling on Sundays.
