Just a quick question to all you knowledgeable functors, I retire in a couple of weeks and intend to start spending the kids inheritance as quickly as I can. We intend to do a few trips abroad but having received my annual travel insurance from Staysure I note that it only covers trips upto 56 days whilst we do intend to go for closer to the 90 maximum. Anybody know if this maximum period can be extended (I know I can ring but as it is a popular company for older clients thought someone on here maybe in the know) or is there another company that you good people use?

LV= does 90 days per trip on its premier annual multi trip Travel insurance and it’s very good value we are both coming up 70😊

Yes it’s possible with Staysure. I was quoted an extra £170 on our policy.

We paid £148.46 for the policy no extras both of us have existing medical conditions😊

That’s a good price, however I forgot to say that our policy is worldwide inc USA and Caribbean, and with existing medical conditions, that doesn’t half and put the price up.

Yes we have only taken European inc Turkey and Egypt and cruise cover we're done with going any further😊

We are in the USA at the moment. It’s becoming very expensive here indeed. Anyone coming here will need good insurance, the medical bills are just eye watering.
We have the luxury of family here otherwise it’s getting just too expensive.
Don't moan about U.K. prices until you come over here.

Might think about that information, as the UK GP surgeries are sold off to American health insurance companies.
I remember US health insurance costs so well, however never thought they might migrate to the UK.
Should have known better I suppose, it was a Conservative party that vigorously opposed the NHS originally.
Life is interesting when able to sit back and watch !
