Hi everyone
Zippee, my whippet, and I are excited at being able to travel again. In particular, Europe. However, I’m having difficulty obtaining travel insurance for more than 45 days per trip. We want to stay for the maximum 3 month period, or at least have that option. Any advice or guidance, please?

C&CC still offer 180 days, if you get through to them. We couldn’t so had to settle for 60 days in any one trip this year.

Try Staysure, it will probably need to be a single trip policy, you will need to enter the start date and your return date. I've just got a quote off them for 85 days it was £191. The same number of days from the quote at World First travel insurance was £183.

Hope that helps!

If your home insurance is going to be coming up for renewal before your trip check what length away from home you can get as our current insurance (expires end of July) allowed 90 days away from home but I've just had a letter from them to say they can't get offer any renewal quotes as out criteria can't be met anymore due to a change in underwriters, ie they can't do more than 60 days max and that's at an extortionate rate anyway. I've checked with comparisons sites and they are coming in at roughly double what I paid last time!

Consequently we're reducing it to 60 days away as we doubt if we'll get away for longer than that in the next year anyway.
