Does anyone know any good multi-trip travel insurance that will insure us for up to 9 mths travel in Europe that doesn't limit you to 60 days in each country?

as Alan said.. been traveling for years abroad, three full time.. and only ever carried and used the EHIC card..

just my opinion but travel insurance is just another con..

only extra it provides is a body repatriated or if you want transferred to a UK hospital..

We too carry the EHIC card and some back up from Lloyds bank but it is always walking on delicate ground to intimate that insurance is not needed. The moment someone says such a thing, the inevitable can occur to the person concerned and it becomes your fault they were not covered.

we live in a world of making choices . other person asks a question ,some answer .
personally i dont bother with breakdown or recovery ins. my choice .
i also find if anyone has an on going health problem then obtaining health ins is almost impossible .
its a hard one for many . i certainly would struggle to get any.
its all down to making your own choice .

yes

details of what and what isn't covered here http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcareabroad/EHIC/Pages/about-the-ehic.aspx

It will not cover any private medical healthcare or costs, such as mountain rescue in ski resorts, being flown back to the UK, or lost or stolen property. Therefore, it is important to have both an EHIC and a valid private travel insurance policy. Some insurers now insist that you hold an EHIC, and many will waive the excess if you have one.

as Alan said.. we all make our choice ..
