Hi all, due to an ageing dog coupled with a lacking willingness to pay exorbitant pet travel costs following Brexit we are staying in Uk this summer. We’ve done a lot of ‘usual’ and most popular destinations in Wales, Dorset, Cornwall, some parts of Northumberland and lake/Peak District etc and are visiting Scotland again in the Spring. Obviously, we have by no means ‘seen it all’ - and I’m hoping some of you explorers can recommend some great places to visit that we might not have considered. We like walking (shorter walks, sadly with the ageing dog) visiting towns and villages and you can’t beat a good coastal walk. Any recommendations for British ‘gems’ please?
