On the subject of trackers on another post for Insurance purposes, I have just moved my MH 10feet to spray some WD on the Oyster foot . Within 5 minutes I had a call from Sargent to say the alarm had activated .
I think that is worth the sub fee

Our monitoring company calls within 20-30 seconds of activation.
Sometimes I don't even get the door closed before having to answer the phone!

My phone pings and receives the location when the van ignition goes on. No subscription, and was only £13 to buy (plus sim) beat that :ROFLMAO:

I see you h@ve a Swift motorhome.

We have a Swift PVC. We also took out the option of activating the Tracker.

Although we can clearly see on the web site the current location of our m/h we have never received any type of message when we have moved it, including travel to Europe.

Why?(n)

I have just paid for the next 3 years. I asked do you check if it's still working, they said each month.last time 7march

Agree, a small price to pay for them to keep a watch on your motorhome. Normal getting into the van, loading up and going away on holiday etc. does not normally cause an alert for the high end trackers like Sargent but short movements without moving far that seem out of the normal probably fags up an alert and you get a call.

Have you set up the geo fence
You have to be careful with some cheap trackers and geofencing.
I kept getting false alerts as the fence was too small and the GPS drift too great.
The GPS would move more the 10mtr I set as the fence perimeter put obviously the tracker thought it was moving.
Reset the geofence to 100mtrs and never a false alert after that.

I put an O2 sim in it with £10 on it. The data is 1p/Mb and will last years. It's very accurate, you can zoom down in the smartphone app (called DGPS in Google play) and see the exact parking bay you're in.

It also has a satellite view and street view option, and works inside or under the bonnet. You can text it instructions on how frequently you want it to send it's location, set mine to every five minutes but it only comes on with the ignition plus 9 minutes after it goes off via a timer I made.

Best 13 quid I ever spent, and it's not cheaply made either. The circuit board uses surface mount components and is lacquered neatly.

The above screenshots are of a tracker on a bus in Tanzania, I put a randon IMEI number in the app with the default password and it logged in :ROFLMAO:

I installed this version of tracker in our MH with a Giffgaff sim and then linked it to my MH alarm, I can do all sorts with it, allow and disallow the MH to start,, get its location , if the alarm goes of the tracker let's me know and send its location , or if we are away traveling and forget our way back to the MH I can contact the tracker and it tells me where the MH is, its a great bit of kit for less £40 from memory.

Fitted mine in the van today, it doesn't have a clear view of the sky, put it back in the garage and it's still working  accuracy Has reduced a bit but good enough at about 6m out.

Unfortunately I posted a pic of the wrong one. I bought the one pictured but never got round to fitting it.
Bought specifically for the engine disable function.
Just wish I bought the remote version which can be turned on/off with the fob instead of having to text it. The one I meant in my post was a TK102.
