when i purchased my MH private sale it did not have an alarm or reverse camera or security on it

No, nor did mine!

i paid £950.00 for a list of things that included
alarm of all belly lockers 9 in total 2x doors one bonnet
tracker system
reverse camera and internal monitor
the tracker system came with one year cover
i paid £299.00 for a life time cover

There you go, that wasn't too hard was it?

A moody thread indeed. The good thing to come out of it is that I have secured a superb Funster special deal on a tracking system. I have been so busy packing my motorhome today I haven't been able to post about it. But watch this space if you want a tracking system:thumb:

if you are running a motor home on a shoe string may be you should consider if you should have one at all

I did not buy mine until i could afford it if i had to ask how much will it cost me to run / insure/ repair/ pay monthly i would not have got it

I may be lucky i paid cash for mine and i pay cash for all the upkeep
i can afford to have it and run it and know all to well that the low life scum will go out of their way to remove it from my possession

that is why i put a top to the rang alarm/ Tracking system solar power, battery power to run all i need when wild camping

there are many motorhomes on the market not maintained as they should be maintained through lack of funds I would not want to be the one who buy`s this kind of problem motor

it is not my fault many seam to live beyond their own means that is up to them
I do not and i make no apology for being able to do what i can do

Blimey, I need a big G & T after all that, glad I have an old van don't have to worry about a tracker as don't think anyone would nick itlol!

Seriously we had a Phantom tracker on our new Burstner Caravan before we bought the M/H & it was fab, never had it stolen but few false alarms when we went away and left it on, 5 mins later Phantom control on the phone asking if we could see our van.
Definately peace of mind and if I ever had enough money for a new M/H I would have another. We had to have it due to value of caravan for insurance purposes.

Now we have Bertha we don't need anything cos thieves would be lucky to get her started as she is a bit tempermental lol!
