    Any advice for towing a trailor with small car on behind our motorhome down through France and Italy I have sorted weight limits any other advice welcome

    Aviod toll roads, towing a trailer will be expensive

    Makes no difference towing, it's the height that triggers the extra to Class 3 which starts at 3m. A motorhome under 3m whether towing or not will be Class 2. Same as a car towing a caravan.

    What if its over 3,500kg GVW or tag axle

    • - Vehicle with more than two axles and height of 3 metres or more, or GVW of more than 3.5 tonnes
    • - Train with overall height of 3 metres or more
    • - Train with towing vehicle having GVW of more than 3.5 tonne

    In France at the moment
    Aviano towing smart car on trailer toll,roads all class 2
