Previously caravan owners , we have just bought our first Motor home and have to tackle he question of how to get about while parked up .
I have a Toyota Aygo , which will be ideal to tow , the questions is A Frame or trailer . Licence isn't an issue btw husband covered for that . The pros of the A frame is of course it takes up little room , We have no problem with storing a ' proper trailer' or towing it but would it be a problem when arriving at a camp site , is it normal for them to have the facilities / space for the trailer to be unhooked and parked up

thanks

I'm in exactly the same situation. We have an Aygo that I am loathe to modify for an A Frame.

We have a single axle trailer that we have never used yet. TBH I'm a bit concerend about the pitching a single axle can produce, so - A Frame, Twin axle of have a go with the single axle??

Usually there is space at a site where a caravanner would put a car next to their caravan & awning setup. So, hopefully very few issues.

Have towed a trailer extensively throughout Europe and never had problems parking it. Just have to research your sites etc, when we did our thirteen week tour of Scandinavia all the sites had loads of room and there are lots of sites in Spain to choose from usually room for trailer and awning if required.😊

I dont have space at home for a trailer. If I did I would get one in preference to towing on an A frame. We have towed a Smart on an A frame but now have a Fiat 500 which is ideal. Even though it has been converted to A frame, I would still put it on a trailer if I had space at home. There is not usually a problem at camp sites. Worst case scenario is they might ask you to park your car in the visitors' car park

Mr Chrysalis Can I ask why you prefer a trailer?
