Hi all
can someone explain what the info in the following pictures mean please?
they are pictures of the tow (alko) area that I will need to insert the detachable tow ball that came with the motorhome (2016 Hymer B598, 3850 max l) and the electrical connection point.
is the set suitable for towing an a frame or a braked trailer ?
thank you
Nick

Difficult to see really but I think you are right. If you have the actual tow ball offer it up to see.

On electrics, a seven pin tow socket is suitable for a frames and trailers. If your a frame has electronic braking fitted you will need 13 pin electrics.

Second photo shows the max load you can have down on the tow all, so if you used a car trailer you would have to move the car on the trailer so you don’t go over the 80 kg. An A frame would put very little weight down on tow ball.

Can’t see why it’s not the draw bar weight is 80kg so with an A frame wouldn’t think it’s much of a problem also if you were to use a braked trailer a twin axle virtually balances itself so you can have as much or as little down load on draw bar as you want, we tow a Fiat panda 4x4 on a twin axle trailer with our B678DL and tend just to favour around 50/60 kg and you wouldn’t know it’s on the back.😊
